Ingredients:

Tea Base: Earl Grey Bravo, Irish Breakfast, Honeybush Vanilla

Blended with: Black Tea, Assam Melody Tea, Ceylon Sonata Tea, Honeybush Tea, Orange, Natural Bergamot Flavor, Blue Cornflowers & Natural Vanilla Flavor

Accented with: Lavender, Lemon Balm & Safflower

Personal thoughts:

Flavor Profile: Robust, spicy, sweet.

Character Profile: Robust full-body tea with lingering spice and vanilla. What more could you expect from a tea based on our soft-spotted warrior. Strong enough to stare down a dragon with just enough lighthearted sweetness to fall in love with.

Served Hot:

This tea is absolutely divine with milk and sugar. Spicy and sweet, curl up in front of a fireplace with this tea, and you could want for nothing else. An excellent cold-weather, Christmas morning tea, or breakfast pick-me-up.

Chilled:

Honestly, I wouldn’t even bother trying this cold. Unless you’re the kind of person who likes Earl Grey and/or Irish Breakfast cold. I’ll pass, thanks.

Recommended: Spicy tea fans. Blackwall fans.

Additional: This is an amazing tea. Will order again.

“In DA4, we need to prove to Solas that the world is real and has value…”

We already did that. It doesn’t matter in the least. Whatever is wrong, the world being real doesn’t change a single thing, fix anything or offer a solution to whatever the secret dilemma is. The healer with the bloodiest hands has to cut the rotting arm off to save the body, even if it’s the arm of a great artist. “It changes everything, but it can’t.”

The way I see it, is that if the Inquisitor had the chance to properly discuss Solas’ plans with him they’d be able to make him see it won’t work out.
Like this is just what Fiori would say but:

‘So you’re going to bring down the Veil and remake the world?’
‘Yes.’

‘First of all: Do you really think you can put things back exactly as they were?’
‘… well maybe not exactly-’

‘And then you’ve got to deal with the Evanuris and the Forgotten Ones. Who are going to be angry, not to mention freshly rested, while you’ll be tired and with your army weakened after fighting me.’
‘Yes, but-’

‘Do you really think you can bring back the dead, or reverse time, and destroy the Evanuris all by yourself? You really think everything will work out the way you want? Or is this just going to create a bigger mess?’
‘…’
‘Counter offer: I help you bring down the Veil safely, so that the Elves of this world can have immortality and regain their lost knowledge. And you get to actually build something rather than destroy it for once.’

Because I really don’t think his plan makes any sense. It’s possible there’s a lot we don’t know about how he intends to do all this but honestly I feel like he’s just being desperate and if he was actually challenged on his theories they’d fall apart.

Hmm, that isn’t at all how I see it.

You really think that if another way existed, a happy middle ground where everyone could be happy, he wouldn’t gladly talk about it? You think if it existed, he wouldn’t see it? He’s been thinking about this for thousands of years. I think the fandom in general has a strangely low opinion of his reasoning abilities + his ability to admit mistakes. He’s not stupid, he’s honestly not that prideful at high approval (“You showed me that I was wrong. Again.”) and he’s not at all beyond reason. He’s always open to new ideas, to his emotional detriment sometimes. He would treasure the chance to be wrong once again.

Even Felassan, who presumably knew more about Solas’ plans than the Inquisitior, didn’t bother trying to argue with him about the necessity or logistics of what he was doing. Felassan only took a stand about the morality of it. And that’s all the Inquisitor can do.

Solas is thoughtful and has a full working sense of morality. As a character he is always looking for the most clever solution to any problem. Unpopular opinion, but I honestly believe he’s thought about this for a long time, and I think that if there is no hope or compromise he can see, even after coming to know and love the world, then I genuinely believe him.

All of the things listed in this sample convo are kind of wild fan suppositions of what he’s doing, and not canon. The time travel thing, the bringing back the dead thing, the Exactly Restoring Elvhenan thing, the possible dangers and wrenches that might be thrown, the assumption that all those details are accurate… I don’t think any of those are close to the truth. We have no idea, and that’s the whole point.

Tell me about it!

We really don’t know definitively what Solas is doing or why. Especially considering how vague and misleading Solas can be. “saving the elves” could mean a lot of different things. For all we know some catastrophe is going to happen regardless of what anyone does and this is Solas way of ensuring the people he loves most will survive.

And besides If changing his mind in da4 comes down to making him see that the current world has value than that would either obviate what development he had in dai or just be a retread. It would ruin his arch so far: he sees value in the world and realizes his judgments were unduly harsh and then he has to relearn that again? It would be weird. I figured that his jaundiced views of the modern world and its people was a way of coping with what he thinks he needs to do rather than a part of his motives.

I expect whatever it is that motivates him will be clarified in the next game but for now there are just so many unknowns that I don’t think anyone has a firm idea what it is . I also hope changing his mind doesn’t amount to the empty platitudes that some people seem to think will resolve the issue. Like even if he is just misguided you aren’t going to help him by dropping dialogue that is the equivalent of telling someone who is clinically depressed something like don’t be sad. Technically true but utterly unhelpful and condescending to imagine that whoever is being talked at hasn’t thought of that already.

What I find amusing in most of these dialogues about how Solas is wrong, or he needs to be saved, or he’s foolish, or this or that, is that no one seems to question the stability of the Veil (I’ve only been active in the fandom for a year, so correct me if I’m wrong).

In Awakening, the Warden has to strengthen the veil in the Blackmarsh because it’s bleeding demons, the veil is so thin in Kirkwall that Hawke is paranoid about blood mages, anytime you walk five feet anywhere in Thedas Solas remarks about how the veil is thin here, Morrigan mentions the crossroads are unstable, and in Trespasser, the qunari are trying to find a way to strengthen the veil. Why? Ask yourself why.

Solas MUST do something about the veil, because it’s failing, its deteriorating and bleeding demons. The only thing the inquisitor did was sew stitches in the tears/rifts. How much longer do you think a 4000 year old unnatural construct has until it shreds apart? Think about it, if he does nothing, it will be far more catastrophic. I think it is beyond ‘this world is worth saving’ and more about ‘these people are also worth saving’, because from my pov, he’s only thinking about the elves. Whether we like it or not, the veil is coming down (see also: Sandal’s prophesy).

Solas isn’t dumb, he knows something needs to be done, and without his orb, he has no easy answers.

Tumblr’s decided to disenfranchise a massive population of its userbase so now it is absolutely imperative that you follow your favorite creators on their other platforms. NS//FW will no longer be allowed on this platform and its very likely the majority of my art will be removed, and potentially this account?

If you want continued access to my work, commissions, adult content and sfw content you need to move yourself to my twitter

MAUNDERMOR ON TWITTER

On December 17th, this ban on adult content becomes wholly active. It is definitely time to move.

Note that I will NO LONGER be posting any content to my tumblr for the duration between now and the 17th. I will solely be reblogging my twitter location post.

All artwork will now be posted to my twitter from this point forward- if you would like continued access to view, follow me there.

I’ve just been informed that the bot tumblr is using to do this shit is already pulling posts down.

Let it be known the bot is indiscriminately marking even sfw posts as ns///fw. This means your sfw art will also be taken down if it is incorrectly identified.

There is no option on the posts to contest the flagging as far as I am aware.

So, all this is actively taking affect as we speak.

follow my twitter for coochie and nipples and soft cuddly guys

Note that when I re open orders I will be prioritizing those that come from Twitter so if you also still want access to commissions and adopts be sure to follow there for the soonest possible updates! Updates here will be secondary.

With the changes coming up, I did a lot of thinking about what I wanted to do. Ultimately, I’m going to leave tumblr entirely. I’ve tbh been unhappy with tumblr for a long time so it’s a firm nudge for me to just go my own way. That said, I’m sure some of you still want to keep seeing my art and supporting me!
